Lighthouse · Toledo, Ohio
Turtle Island Lighthouse
The tower was first lit in 1866 and no longer serves as a light for ships. The roofless stone tower of a lighthouse, dark since 1904, stands on a tiny island on the Ohio-Michigan line off the mouth of the Maumee River; it is seen from a distance across Maumee Bay.
