Lighthouse · Lake Erie Islands, Ohio

Port Clinton Lighthouse

The tower was first lit in 1896 and no longer serves as a light for ships. The small wooden pierhead lighthouse was moved off the pier in 1952 and now stands restored at the north end of Water Works Park in Port Clinton, where a private light shows in it.

How to see it

Above water and inside the horizon from Port Clinton public beach, 474 m (1,556 ft) away, so on a clear day it can be seen from there, and CoastFinder puts a label on it.

On the website for now. Ohio's lighthouses are in the web viewer first, and they are coming to the CoastFinder app, which covers the North Carolina coast today. Follow @coastfinderapp to hear when Ohio arrives.
