Lighthouse · Tawas, Michigan
Sturgeon Point Lighthouse

The tower was first lit in 1869 and is still an aid to navigation. Its light shows one white flash every 6 seconds, seen up to 9 nautical miles out. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A Cape Cod style light station north of Harrisville, now in a small state park; the Alcona Historical Society keeps the light burning and runs a museum in the keeper's house.
