Lighthouse · Culebra, Puerto Rico

Faro de Culebrita

The tower, first lit in 1886, is dark now. The working light, one white flash every 10 seconds, stands nearby, about 80 m away. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built by Spain on the summit of Culebrita, off the east end of Culebra, the lighthouse was wrecked by hurricanes in 1989 and 1995; the island is reached only by boat.
