Shipwreck · Nags Head, North Carolina
Laura A. Barnes
A four-masted schooner bound from New York to South Carolina that was driven ashore in a nor'easter on 1 June 1921; the Bodie Island Life-Saving crew rescued everyone aboard. The National Park Service moved the surviving timbers to Coquina Beach in 1973, where the ribs and keelson are displayed among the dunes. No official document prints a position, but the wreck lies on the beach at Coquina Beach where the National Park Service moved it, and is easily found.
