Verbena

A 130 ft steel fishing boat, known to divers as the Verbena, sunk as part of artificial reef AR-285 (George Summerlin Reef) on 31 January 1989. The state records her as the Nancy Lee. She began life as a Coast Guard buoy tender, and Marine bomb-disposal teams from Cherry Point sank her with explosives. Divers describe an intact hull with its cabin amidships.
