Wrecked by Hurricane Katrina and rebuilt in 2013, the lighthouse on the New Orleans lakefront is now the New Canal Lighthouse Museum. Its light, two white flashes every 5 seconds, shows from a pole beside it. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

How to see it

Above water and inside the horizon from West End lakefront, New Orleans, 184 m (604 ft) away, so on a clear day it can be seen from there, and CoastFinder puts a label on it.

On the website for now. Louisiana's lighthouses are in the web viewer first, and they are coming to the CoastFinder app, which covers the North Carolina coast today. Follow @coastfinderapp to hear when Louisiana arrives.
