Lighthouse · Atchafalaya Bay, Louisiana
Ship Shoal Lighthouse
The tower was first lit in 1860 and no longer serves as a light for ships. Abandoned in 1965, it leans on its piles in the open Gulf; two quick-flashing white lights now mark it as an obstruction.
