Lighthouse · Cape St. Elias, Alaska

Cape St. Elias Lighthouse

The tower was first lit in 1916 and is still an aid to navigation. Its light shows one white flash every 10 seconds, seen up to 14 nautical miles out. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It stands at the southwest tip of Kayak Island in the Gulf of Alaska, reached only by boat or plane, and the Cape St. Elias Lightkeepers Association leases it.
