Lighthouse · Apostle Islands, Wisconsin
Old Michigan Island Lighthouse
The tower, first lit in 1857, is dark now. The working light, one white flash every 6 seconds, stands nearby, about 70 m away. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The first lighthouse in the Apostle Islands, finished in 1856 on a bluff on Michigan Island, was replaced in 1929 by the tall iron tower beside it.
