The tower was first lit in 1885 and is still an aid to navigation. Its light shows white and red in turn every 10 seconds. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. How to see it

Above water and inside the horizon from Harbor Beach Marina, 1.7 km (1.1 mi) away, so on a clear day it can be seen from there, and CoastFinder puts a label on it.

On the website for now. Michigan's lighthouses are in the web viewer first, and they are coming to the CoastFinder app, which covers the North Carolina coast today. Follow @coastfinderapp to hear when Michigan arrives.
