The tower, first lit in 1892, is dark now. The working light, one white flash every 2.5 seconds, stands nearby, about 30 m away. A restored private home on Round Island in the lower St. Marys River, between Lime Island and Point aux Frenes; its light moved to a steel structure nearby in 1922, and it is seen from river cruises.

How to see it

Above water and inside the horizon from South Raber boat ramp, 4.3 km (2.7 mi) away, so on a clear day it can be seen from there, and CoastFinder puts a label on it.

On the website for now. Michigan's lighthouses are in the web viewer first, and they are coming to the CoastFinder app, which covers the North Carolina coast today. Follow @coastfinderapp to hear when Michigan arrives.
