Lighthouse · Beaver Island, Michigan

South Fox Island Lighthouse

The tower was first lit in 1867 and no longer serves as a light for ships. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Two dark towers stand on the south tip of remote South Fox Island: the brick lighthouse and a 1934 iron skeleton tower brought from Sapelo Island, Georgia.
