The tower was first lit in 1906 and is still an aid to navigation. Its light shows one white flash every 5 seconds, seen up to 12 nautical miles out. It stands in Mukilteo Lighthouse Park beside the ferry landing.

How to see it

Above water and inside the horizon from Mukilteo Lighthouse Park, 63 m (207 ft) away, so on a clear day it can be seen from there, and CoastFinder puts a label on it.

On the website for now. Washington's lighthouses are in the web viewer first, and they are coming to the CoastFinder app, which covers the North Carolina coast today. Follow @coastfinderapp to hear when Washington arrives.
