Stetson Bank
Stetson Bank, in Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary, far out in the Gulf off Texas and Louisiana. Siltstone and claystone pinnacles on a salt dome, closer to shore than the Flower Gardens. The sanctuary's 5 mooring buoys here sit in 73 to 85 ft. Reached by liveaboard from Freeport, Texas; deeper than the 60 ft open-water limit. Sanctuary rules apply: no anchoring, look, don't touch, and take nothing.
