Lighthouse · Buffalo, New York

Horseshoe Reef Lighthouse

The tower was first lit in 1856 and no longer serves as a light for ships. The iron framework of a lighthouse, dark since about 1920, stands on a reef at the head of the Niagara River off the Buffalo waterfront and is seen from the shore at Lighthouse Point.
